Actually I was referring to the new tab, Kid’s Music. Along the top of the page. Yeah, that one. The Music and Movement classes I lead here in St. Paul start up tomorrow so I got all over achiever and posted mp3’s of the songs and a copy of the songsheet as well. I think Willabee Wallabee turned out the funniest due to a certain 2 year old on my lap.

So if you’re in St. Paul and have a kid that’s not yet in school (we’ve got 0-5 year olds in the class – the average age is probably around 2) come on over to Music and Movement! We meet at 10:30 at Monroe School, located at 810 Palace Avenue St. Paul, MN 55102. The school entrance is on Palace. When you come in the big white doors the room on your left is where we meet. If you continue left down the hall you’ll find the Family Center Play Room at the very end. This is a staffed play room for parents/caregivers and their children to come and hang out m-f 9-Noon. The playroom and the music classes are sponsored through Partner for Violence Prevention. So come on down! It’ll be fun. Probably.

Since I’m sitting here downloading I Tunes with nothing better to do, I went ahead and booked the Honest Folk for a show here at the Bean Factory in St. Paul. So on MAY 1oth, you and your kin best come down to 1518 randolph and check out the folk from 7-9 pm. All ages No Cover. Yippee. Seeing as this is our first show since Elsa’s baptism last summer, chances are it’ll be great. I lo-ove to sing. I lo-ove to sing. I lo-ove to sing.

Well folks the recording went great! In fact we had time to make not one, but two, that’s right, two, e.p.’s. With written consent J. Rimbo authorized me to go ahead and post one of the e.p.’s. As luck would have it we both had our melodica’s handy for the recording session so between grueling drum takes we relaxed a bit and played some sweet duets. Unbeknownst to us, Rev. Graham was secretly recording everything we did! Oh how embarrassing. And oddly fortuitous. So here it is eager listener’s, Justin & Nate’s duet debut. We call it,

getting ready to record Justin Rimbo, listening to his demos, really enjoying it all, also getting me excited to record with welaware next week, so here’s a demo of a song that i recorded for welaware’s consideration that i think is a bit lacking of something i’m not sure what but it’s got potential, but maybe not enough, so i doubt it’ll show up on the album so i’m not giving anything away, except i’m totally giving this away, and if does show up on the cd, it’ll be really different so that makes it tantalizing – are you you tantalized?

Here’s an old song (2 years?) that I recorded a while ago (2 years?). It’ll have to do for this weeks song, and I need to post it before Baby X shows up and feels left out. It’s forty degrees out and Lydia and I are contemplating a trip out to her great grandpa’s in CA this July for his 100th birthday. This song seems to fit my thoughts.
