Nate Houge is an independant muscian touring with his own music and as a sideman on guitar, mandolin, & lap steel.
Whether playing with a band or solo, acoustic or electric, Nate’s songs are a driving rootsy balance of truth and humor. He plays solo as Nate Houge, in a folk trio as The Honest Folk (with Jason Moran on hand drums and Micah Taylor on Mandolin) and as a rock and roll trio as Welaware (Justin Rimbo on Bass, Micah Taylor on Drums)
His touring has taken him to both coasts and a ton of places inbetween. Now playing the role of stay at home dad he’s cut back on touring and is currently focusing on playing an active part in Minnesota’s thriving music making community, by going out to shows, playing local gigs, and adding lap steel and mandolin on friends recordings.
